On going show Basingstoke Library

This is a joint show with Deb Hall (Kelly) We are show at Basingstoke Library up until 26/12/2009 you are welcome to come and see the work. The works work well together. We have made it look like a gallery.

The comments we have had from the people who work in the Library they never had a show like what we have done, and wow cannot believe what they are seeing and the prices are good for their pockets. Please do go along and have a look. It does show you what you can do with your art work. and it also mean you re getting your art work out and peolpe can see it and enjoy it.

Large Sculpture for my degree show 2009

Sometime you see a job advert and they talk about 3-D but it is only on their computer. Look at what they are missing the doing. meet the 'C' Clamp sitting on a bean bag having a cup of tea. This took me 4 weeks to and I only had three days off two Sundays and one bank holiday, working 8-10 hours a day.
The 'C' Clamp is 5 M x 4M x 2.8M it is made out of wood made to look like it made out of metal and painted Tin Tin Yellow.
when you leave Uni. it very hard to be able to work at this size so I have been doing a lot of drawings and putting show on and doing a lot of networking.

I am a show with another artist called Deb Hall we both study at Winchester School of Art, Our work is humorist it is fun to do and the viewer can see the close up or from far way the works work well and the she show has the 'wow' factor. We have manage to make the library look like a gallery the people who work in the library said "we never seen it looking like this". We have given the area space and the works can breather

Radioactive 'missile' treatment ' Smart' Therapy

Sometime in the paper you read something that can changesome one life for ever and give hope to a family and see the something they really did not think they would.
In today Evening Standerd their are two reported published that can give real hope the trail number CHT25 to the layperson it being called the 'Smart' therapy, what does it do : The treatment which finds and destroys tumours using mini radioactive "missiles" could provide a lifeline for hundreds of patients the doctors found improvements in two thirds of people.
The main point to the report by : University College London and the Royal Free Hospital aslo reveal the drug is of extra benefit to "no hope" patients who no longer respond to treatments such as chemotherapy.
The trail published in the journal clinical Cancer Research shows the radioactivity remains at the tumour site for at leat four days to give maximum benefit.The first study involved 15 patients but scientists now plan a more extensive trails.

Humanistic psychologist and therapy art work

Over the last few weeks I have been talking to psychologist when I have been traveling on the trains. My work with the local community and how I work with them I was at a Uni that is firmly in trench with Freud. I have always been a Humanist and I now this work very well with the termly ill it is the only treatment that works when every normal treatment can no longer help. It helps to extents termly ill life by a min. few weeks but used with normal treatment up to over 6 months.My main aim in my practice is to fine out what people like to do. Sometime they do not want to do anything they just want to chat. which is 'cool' but I find they normal do end up doing something.
I call this "Harry Potter Dream Game" this is a good drawing for a person who has not been drawing and the workshop is done so the person doing the drawing well get a good result. I also fine that if a person has un-control- able shacks the more they shack the better their painting is. I will put an example on the website in the next few days.

Hyde Laurdry

I was show the Dog and Flower drawing this drawing was drawn in public and was on showing for 10 day for the public and remained on show for another 7 days for VIPs.

This project was aiming to show the VIPs the local artist need places like the Hyde laundry to work and show the public their art work. It would also be a good way of offering internships.

While I was showing my drawing I also was showing in the toilets and put lot of flowers near the sinks and in the cubical. This was well received by the public. I got the idea from Royal Tunbridge Wells NCP ladies the toilets look just Wisley Garden. My political touch we have toilets in Winchester that are maned and putting flowers in the toilets would be so good for tourist trade. The council will say costs but the flower would be self funding as this is what is done in Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Contempory Tree

This is part of a project I did for my 'A' level. This is a contemporary tree to show the dead trees that are inside of the "A Bomb Dome" in Hiroshima . Which is also known as Peace Memorial for the 230,000 people who died when the A Bomb was dropped.

When I went to the Memorial it left lasting affect with my art and I made two trees one was white for "Life" and one was red wood for the "Death" and to show even after death the trees in Hiroshima still grows life with the radiation on the algae that is 10 to 20 inch long. I also went back to Hiroshima a year later as I did not have any flower with the first time time I went.

I am hoping to use my technique to make my drawing life size, if some one has a small wood they would like copsing.

In the Hampshire area Winchester UK this would be just what I am looking for, I am quite happy to pay a pepper corn rent and let the public see me making my sculptures

10 Day show at the Hyde Laundry

This drawing was drawn in Winchester High Street in August 2009. I have shown this drawing at the Hyde Laundry for the past 10 days. The work is still being show to VIPs until this Saturday 31/10/2009.

Fluevog sold pair of boots

I have sold these boots at the Islington Contemporary Art and Design , The boots are telling a story, of a hedgehog walking along and come across a flower and then picks the flower, I have got my own logo on the boots you can see it on the side of the boot as I live in Winchester UK and I have a sward coming out of the a rock. I have done this as I want my art work only to able in Winchester, I do not want my cloth to be in high street shop and just become clones, I am going have paper work with with my cloth so they can be shown as a art work or if there person want to were them they can but they are one offs. and will be recorded as these cloth are one off, as people can were them they have to be fully recorded.

Art Crunch and Raw Art

Over the weekend I have found out my art work is fulling into two camps, I do my art in the public which is Raw art and and recycling second hand cloth so this is firmly in the art Crunch movement. So I am a Raw Illustrator Artist as I draw on to the cloth so I think this is the camp I am in. Sometime you have to think what your type of art should be called and I am a Raw artist who draws on to cloths and accessories. My art work does tell a story and most of the storys are fun and saying sorry but there are one or two that aree a bit on the dark side none of my dark side art work asd been sold yet.

If you would like me to do some art work on your cloths let me now and I let you know what i can do.

But remember the cloths have to second hand and you are going to bin them.

These boots were new but they were sold second hand as they were no longer wanted.

Burberrys of London V Street Art

I got this jacket from a car boot. I have been wearing this jacket just for a few days and the number of people think I look very smart when I have gone round with it on and the number of people who have been shocked I have been drawing on a Burberrys of London as they think I have paid for it at the full price.

This jacket just cost me a £5 now I have turned it into a walking art work, I think of my drawing on cloth as :
"Street Art"

I think of "Street Art" as the man in the street has control over what they wear on their back and not the designer labels company. Why should a man in a office say what I should wear?

By doing the drawing on to the cloth they be come 'one off' that cannot be repeated on mass as I sign my drawing with pw105. signing your name does not work but put pw105 it work with

the image.

I hope I do start a craze and go bask to people changing the the cloths. when I was 17 years old I could an M&S a jumper at 20 feet. I would not have like Gap etc I like to go round the little shops and Bentalls as they used to a small design range of cloths and they were very good and lastest for years.

This is my first drawing I did on a jacket, I think it has gone very well. I like the idea of my drawing look like they are walking and by putting them on the cloths logo's they look really 'Cool'.

All these cloth are second hand and I have now turned them into a walking art work.It Will be good to see how they go down at the show. I have a better idea after the show.

I am going to get some bubble wrap and start to pack my drawing up . Dogs are booked in to stay at a local kennels . The trains are going to running fine, not like this weekend .

Questions about the books I use and why?

When I was study my A level Fine Art my teacher said you will 100's of books that show you the end results, you want to find the the book that show you the start of the idea and whole process. I found this most useful and over the years.
I have got a lot of books over the years they are full of information and because of the books I had I never did have to use the University library. I got a good degree, so I happy with my own library.
I got Nightmare Before Christmas by Frank Thopson. From the Forbidden Planet today I also like to to buy Journal when artist are talking about their art work and how they plan to move their art forward. The Comics Journal No. 299 Aug 2009.
I like street art so I got Vna . Some people call it Graffiti I think of as street art, on the back cover their is an advert for edding www.edding.co.uk Jimi Crayon edding 751,780 & 4000 paint & Deco Markers, with a lad wearing a Hoody drawing on to his trainer , I was drawing on my T shirt the other day so I will look at getting some of these pens. Street Art take on several form.

My Frist Solo Show Alresford Library Window

I have the window in Alresfold Library Window there is a cost of £10 a week + 25% of what I sell

Basingstoke is free just 25% of what we sell, So all place I show my work have different cost. Hyde Laundary is free. Need to work on my Artist statement for the shows. I have used this Private invite to max. use to show I am showing my work and look at what I have got out of this I am doing very well .

The walking dog is worth his weight in gold for me putting my work out into showing my work.

Showing at Basingstoke Library

I am show with another Artist Deborah Hall at Basingstoke Library 14- 24 Dec. 2009
we have also applied to do another show in Basingstoke The Willis Museum this will happen in 2011 all going well it will be in February.

When selling art work you have to do the date when people will spend money Christmas is a good time and so is Feb 14 .

Deborah has got a friend who is Editor of the Basingstoke local paper so she is going to a review of our work The title for our work is " Space". The Willis Museum show was help by Deborah friend working their. This is classic case of good networking.

We also went to the Basingstoke Shopping center to see if we can use part's of the shopping center as a place to show our art work. keep you up to date how that works out we should find out next week if we can use the spaces in the center

10 Day show at the Hyde Laundry

I am showing a A1 size drawing. The drawing I used my right foot. I used a fine felt tip pen to do the A1 size drawing. I will try a get a better photo fpr my website.

'C' Clamp sitting on a bean bag

This is 'C' Clamp after the degree show it was 5 M X 4 M X 2.8 M.

This photo show I like to work very hard and very big but I also like to do drawing and they are pole apart but they are just as usual and a very rare sight. I love using humour with my work. and this can be seen in my work and I love danger and the 'C' Clamp show this from one side you wounder why it not falling over. The sun came out and the sun really make the photo and made all the hard work well worth the weight.

I used this image for my postcard My drawing have come a long way from this drawing over the last few months. These drawing were in my note book all the time but like most thing no one really pointed them out how good they were. It was only why I was waiting for my work to be marked people could see my drawing as that is what I was doing all day long 200 drawing in 4 hours now I have got a big show up in London with my drawing in Ilsingtion.

This was my first try at puting my drawing on to second cloth . Both these image are hidden and onky come out when the jackest is open and the hood when it rains.

I am very greatful for my friend for modeling the size 6 jacket. The dog is looking at a flower
